Emergency Direct Assistance
 Working cooperatively with other agencies, this program consists of:
- A comprehensive intake including verification of need and appropriate counseling and referral to existing programs
- Help with emergency needs for utilities, food and prescription medications
- Referral to NNH programs as appropriate
- Follow-up phone calls to check on clients' progress
- Distribution of Christmas toys (children ages birth-15) and food baskets
- Delivery of Easter and Thanksgiving packages to senior citizens

- 29 out of 68 families were new
- Meals distributed through food packages: 814
- Prescriptions filled: 4
- Utility bills assisted: 44
- Percentage of utility bills paid by client: 34%
- Percentage of utility bills paid using NNH funds: 59%
- Miscellaneous items distributed: 41
