Emergency Direct Assistance
Working cooperatively with other agencies, this program consists of:
- A comprehensive intake including verification of need and appropriate counseling and referral to existing programs
- Help with emergency needs for utilities, food and prescription medications
- Referral to NNH programs as appropriate
- Follow-up phone calls to check on clients' progress
- Distribution of Christmas toys (children ages birth-15) and food baskets
- Delivery of Easter and Thanksgiving packages to Senior Citizens.
