As part of our Healthy Families Program, NNH offers classes in use of technology, cooking, and parenting.
Computer Lab (technology):
Computer classes provide clients with basic technology skills, so they can search for employment online and succeed in the workplace, once they are hired. As a part of the computer classes, participants learn how to:
- Search for jobs online
- Fill out online job applications
- Create a resume
- Operate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Create and maintain an email account
Cooking Classes (currently suspeneded due to pandemic):
Cooking classes teach participants how to stretch their food budgets, while cooking nutritious meals for their families. There is a cooking demonstration and participants get to take a bag of groceries home.

Family Dinner Nights (currently suspeneded due to pandemic):
Family Dinner Nights provide a delicious meal and the opportunity to socialize with other community members. After dinner, child care is provided, and parents learn from a local Chattanooga professional about a different topics, such as stress management or technology awareness.
The Healthy Families Program is funded in part by the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Health Foundation.
