Adult Education

Since 2007, the NNH has offered the Adult Education Program. We began offering the program because we kept hearing from clients that not having their high school diploma was preventing them from obtaining full-time jobs with benefits.

During the school year, Adult Education students meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. In the summer, classes are held Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. The program is overseen by our Adult Education Coordinator and generous volunteers (including retired educators and current education majors).

If you or someone you know is interested in the Adult Education Program, please contact Tara at or (423) 267-2217.

"I never thought I liked math until Cindy [the Adult Education Director] started teaching me. I couldn't have done it without her because she was the first person to really understand the way I learn. I’m so thankful for the GED program at the NNH.”
