Connecting Youth with Stability and Community
Our thrift stores are often seen as places to buy affordable clothing, but their impact goes much further. For families working toward stability, our thrifts provide free essential items through case manager support, so households can stretch their budgets while we cover bigger needs like rent or utilities.
This year, we’re excited to launch a new partnership with the Tennessee Youth Employment Program (TYEP) to provide local youth with paid job experiences. Our Community Schools are working to connect our thrifts to local youth who might be a great fit. As you can see, our thrifts are a central piece of NNH, interconnected with all our other programs, from stability support to youth development, helping build stronger families and stronger futures. Every donation, purchase, and shift contributes to this bigger mission.
